BHGS SOFTBALL UMPIRE

​You will train with a USA softball-certified umpire to understand the rules and receive hands-on practice with game situations.

​​All umpires must have a background check (18 years or older) and attend an umpire training class (ages 12 and older). No experience is necessary—we'll train you!

THREE UMPIRE LEVELS

Rookie Umpires (only 8U/10U games)

  • First-year umpire with the USA Umpire training

  • Base Umpire $25 / Plate Umpire $25

Junior Umpires

  • Umpire with 1 to 2 years of softball umpire experience. USA Umpire training

  • Base Umpire $35 / Plate Umpire $45

Senior

  • Umpire with 2+ years of softball umpire experience. USA Umpire training

  • Base Umpire $55 / Plate Umpire $75

BACKGROUND CHECKS

​Applicants 17+ must fill out a background check form.

WHAT TO BRING FOR TRAINING

​Water, snacks, sunscreen, and a hat. You must be at least 12 years old to participate.
